September 12, 2025 — The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Indian government have agreed on a ₹1,100 crore (about $126.4 million) loan to upgrade tourism infrastructure in the Tehri Lake region of Uttarakhand. The project focuses on sustainable and climate-resilient tourism, aiming to benefit over 87,000 local residents and 2.7 million annual visitors.
