September 12, 2025 — Police in the West Midlands, UK, have opened a major investigation into the alleged rape of a young Sikh woman in Oldbury, treating the attack as a hate crime.
According to authorities, the assault occurred early Tuesday near Tame Road, when two white men reportedly targeted the woman, who is in her 20s. Witnesses said one of the suspects had a shaved head and was wearing gloves. During the assault, the attackers allegedly made racist remarks, including: “You don’t belong in this country, get out.”
The case has shocked the local community and drawn widespread condemnation from Sikh and human rights organizations, who are urging swift justice and stronger protections against racially motivated violence.
