1. Overview

Browser UZWay is a mobile browser with local browser tools: tabs, bookmarks, history, downloads, notes, reminders, password manager, app lock, web folders, web memory, proof snapshots, website notifications, translation shortcuts and optional Google/Firebase sign-in for the UZWay ecosystem.

We do not sell personal data. We do not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or crash reporting SDKs in the current release. Most browser data is stored locally on your device.

2. Data handled by the app

The app may store the following data locally on your device:

– Browsing data: visited URLs, page titles, visit time, visit count, bookmarks, open non-incognito tabs, pinned tabs, downloads metadata and catalog entries.
– Web spaces: selected browsing space, saved web folders, proof records, proof type, reference, status, notes and optional page snapshot image saved in app storage.
– Web memory: URL, title, host, timestamp and a local text snippet from a page so you can search previously viewed pages inside the app.
– Notes and organizer data: note titles, note text, checklists, labels, colors, reminders, event titles, times, places, descriptions and photo URI references that you add.
– Password manager data: website host, username and encrypted password. Password values are encrypted at rest before storage.
– App lock data: settings for lock mode and app lock credentials. Password hashes and salts are stored locally; Android handles biometric data and Browser UZWay does not receive your biometric template.
– Account state: guest/signed-in state, display name and email if you sign in with Google.
– App preferences: language, theme, search engine, restore-tabs setting, notification settings and other browser settings.
– WebView/site data: Android WebView may store cookies, cache, local storage and site permissions for websites you open.

Incognito tabs are not saved for startup restore. Websites you visit may still receive your traffic, IP address, user agent, cookies, form data or account data you submit to them.

3. Optional sign-in and UZWay ecosystem

Google Sign-In is optional. If you sign in, the app uses Google Play services and Firebase Authentication to authenticate your Google account. The app may store your display name and email locally for the account screen.

When you open UZWay ecosystem domains, including uzway.com, messenger.uzway.com and uskrealty.com, and you are signed in, the app may attach a fresh Firebase ID token as an app_token URL parameter so the website can recognize your session. This is not added to unrelated websites.

4. Website browsing and third parties

Browser UZWay is a browser. When you open a website, that website and its services may collect data according to their own privacy policies. Browser UZWay cannot control third-party websites, cookies, scripts, payment pages, login forms or content loaded by those websites.

The app may interact with the following services when you use related features:

– Google/Firebase Authentication: optional Google sign-in.
– Google Play services: Google sign-in and Android platform services.
– Android System WebView/Chromium: web page rendering, cookies, cache, storage and Safe Browsing support.
– Google Translate: if you choose Translate, the page URL is opened through Google Translate.
– Android Download Manager: if you download a file.
– Android notification system: website notifications and event reminders.

5. Permissions

The current release requests:

– Internet access, required to load websites.
– Notifications, required on supported Android versions for website notifications and reminders when you enable or allow them.
– Write external storage on Android 9 and below, used for downloads on older Android versions.

The current release does not request Android location permission. If you type a place into an event or a website asks for location inside its own page, that is separate from an Android location permission request by Browser UZWay.

6. Security and backups

Passwords are encrypted before being stored using Android Keystore based encryption where available. App lock secrets are protected locally and biometric unlock is handled by Android.

The app blocks cleartext traffic at the app network security configuration level. Browsing to ordinary websites still depends on the website protocol you choose.

The app excludes the main local database, app lock secrets and legacy password storage from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer rules. This reduces the chance that browsing history, notes, proofs, downloads metadata, bookmarks and encrypted passwords are copied through system backup.

7. Retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear app data, uninstall the app or remove it through Android settings. You can delete or clear browser history, bookmarks, downloads records, passwords, notes, events, web folders, proofs and related local data through app features where available.

Signing out clears the local account state, but it does not automatically delete data stored by Google, Firebase or third-party websites. For Google account data, use Google account controls. For a deletion request related to Browser UZWay or UZWay ecosystem account handling, contact us.

8. Children

Browser UZWay is not directed to children. Do not use the app to submit a child’s personal data to websites or services unless you have the legal right to do so.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when features, permissions, storage behavior or third-party services change. The updated date at the top shows the latest version.
